Burn Up since has closed its doors, and Von Baron Motorcycles is grateful to take this bike in for our good friend " David Plotkin". What began life as a 1978 BMW R80, this airhead has undergone a 12 month build program, on our own spec. The frame has been reworked, now fitted with minimized subframe, fabricated here in house. All unnecessary tabs have been removed and smoothed, before sending it out for gloss black powder coating. Upon assembly, new tapered steering head bearings (sourced from of All Balls racing) were fitted. An integrated LED taillight and turn signals (by Radiantz) has been frenched in the tail hoop, for a sleek, low-profile design. The seat pan was fabricated in house, and upholstered by our local expert, DJ. The original plastic handlebar switches were tossed to the side, and the black powder coated clip-on bars are now each adorned with beautiful 3-button mini switches by Motogadget. Fresh wiring on the bike throughout keeps all systems powered clean and reliability. The lithium battery has been discretely hidden underneath the frame, thanks to a battery box designed by Walzwerk Germany. A new voltage regulator (Ricks Motorsport, New Hampshire) keeps the charging system stable. The Motogadget M.unit blue, (controllable by phone, via Bluetooth) serves as the ”Brain” and allows the owner to fully integrate and set per another via the Motogadget app. The custom exhaust system designed and built in house from 100% stainless steel, along side Mora Industries for the finishing details. The front brake has been enhanced with a handlebar mounted master cylinder, and Goodridge stainless steel brake line and fittings. The digital dashboard is a fully integrated Motoscope Mini (from Germany) and can display speed, RPM, Trip, Etc. This bike received fresh fluids (Engine oil, gear oils, brake fluid, fork oil) along with new fork seals. YSS Rear suspension, paired with brand new tires and tubes, this is a work of art that is ready to ride!
